A Love Across Continents: The Story of Dipo and Nofifah

Dipo and Nofifah’s journey began at Obafemi Awolowo University in Ile-Ife, Nigeria, where they were both studied accounting.
​
What started as friendly competition during group projects quickly turned into a deep friendship. Dipo admired Nofifah’s sharp intellect and dedication, while Nofifah was drawn to Dipo’s humor and unwavering support. Over time, their bond blossomed into love, and they became inseparable, dreaming of a future together.

After graduation, they got married and began building their lives in Lagos. When an opportunity arose for Dipo to pursue a career in Houston, Texas, Nofifah didn’t hesitate to support him, even as she balanced her growing career in finance. Relocating to the U.S. came with its own set of challenges—adjusting to a new culture and navigating life away from the familiar.

Yet, their shared goals, open communication, and trust in Allah helped them overcome every obstacle and strengthen their partnership.

Wale’s journey to the United States began with a dream of advancing his education. After graduating with a bachelor’s degree in Materials and Metallurgical Engineering from the University of Lagos, he was thrilled to secure admission to a prestigious university in the U.S. for his master’s program.
Focused and determined, Wale left Nigeria to chase his academic and professional aspirations, unaware that fate had something even greater in store.

While adjusting to life in the U.S., Wale met Shakira at a mutual friend’s gathering. Shakira, an accounting graduate with a vibrant personality and a sharp mind, immediately caught Wale’s attention. Their initial conversations revealed shared values, ambitions, and a deep respect for one another’s journeys.
